Nearly 500 voices recently gathered in Washington D.C. to read the entire Bible aloud over our nation, demonstrating the power of corporate Scripture reading. Drawing from Nehemiah 8, where the people wept upon hearing God's Word after becoming untethered from Him, we see how Scripture brings both conviction and restoration. The written Word needs the Holy Spirit to reveal the living Word—Jesus himself. However, hearing God's Word is not enough; we must be doers, not just hearers. Houston represents a unique opportunity for revival as the most diverse city in America, where every nation is represented. When we move from simply hearing to actively living God's Word, it transforms us and impacts the world around us.
