Reconciled: What It Means to Be Made Right with God and Called to Share It by Pastor Josh Beard
Reconciliation is more than a theological term. It is the foundation of the Christian life. Because of sin, humanity owed a debt it could never repay, and Jesus paid that debt in full through His death on the cross. When you receive Christ, your old identity and old debt are gone, and you are declared holy and blameless before God. Righteousness is the gift God gives you the moment you believe, while holiness is the ongoing process of learning to live out that new identity. Every believer is also called to carry this message to others, serving as an ambassador of reconciliation in the world. You do not have to have it all together before coming to God. The blood of Jesus gives you access, and the Holy Spirit does the work of transformation from the inside out.
