Pastor Dusty Kemp is a native Texan and life-long resident of the Houston area. A graduate of the University of Houston with a B.A. in philosophy and a minor in political science, Dusty’s life-long aspiration was to practice law. This radically changed in the mid-seventies. It was then that he was baptized in the Holy Spirit and reminded by the Lord that he had been called to preach since the age of eight.

Bread of Life Church began under the leadership of Pastor Kemp on October 31st, 1979 with 40 people. In 2005 the church was renamed “New Life”, a spiritual story which you can read in About Us. Pastor Kemp is the author of several books and teaching guides, and is often a guest on radio and television. He loves music and playing his guitar with the worship band. In 1997 he received a Telly award for creative TV programming in conjunction with his television program, Bread of Life.

Dusty and his wife Mary have 4 children, and 3 grand-children, all serving the Lord, in Houston, Cincinnati, and San Diego.
